Honourable Deron Bilous, MBA, ECA
Deron Bilous is, first and foremost, an Albertan — born, raised, and deeply committed to the province’s future. Over more than two decades in public life, Deron has built deep, trusted relationships with elected officials across all political parties and with senior public servants throughout government. These connections are rooted not in ideology, but in respect, collaboration, and a shared desire to deliver real, lasting results for Albertans. As a builder and connector, Deron understands that meaningful relationships between business and government are built on trust, shared purpose, and aligned outcomes — and his track record reflects that.
Deron’s experience in government gives him a rare, practical understanding of how to take an idea and turn it into action — from legislation and regulation to program design and delivery. He has continued to bring that same results-oriented approach to the private sector, helping clients successfully navigate complex government systems. For one client, he mapped and engaged every key decision-maker involved in shaping a new government program — from Cabinet and senior staff to the officials responsible for policy design — resulting in real progress and impact. For another, he provided strategic input on legislation and regulation while strengthening relationships between the client and government stakeholders.
In 2017, Deron led the creation of Invest Alberta, establishing a single, streamlined gateway between business and government. Known as a trusted bridge-builder, he continues to bring together public and private interests to create value and drive growth.
